You need to use the Hondamatic ATF-Z1 fluid available from the Honda dealer. Honda says that in an emergency Dextron III can be used but if you're changing the fluid, use the Honda fluid. The difference is that Honda fluid has specific seal lubricants to keep the seals pliable. If you change to a differrent fluid that doesn't have those additives the seals can dry out and cause internal and external leaks. If its just low, you can top it off with the Dextron because it won't dilute the additives substantially.

my automatic hondas use dexron, gm fluid in the trans, but they all use special honda power steering fluid

It is a torque-drive fluid for automatic transmissions.
