That is not something Liberals do. Liberals are not Communists, but the difference is only slight.
Too bad McCarthy didn't live a long long productive life exposing the thousands of unAmericans in Hollywood and Education.

Because liberals think that their ideas of universal healthcare and shared responsibility are somehow different from communism, and they haven't heard that the KGB files showed that Hiss was, in fact, a Soviet agent.
Far from the McCarthy hearings damaging democracy, it is the liberal denial of Hiss' guilt - no, their denial that communism is anything one can be "guilty" of that damaged democracy.
