Ten times that amount would be a good start. They cry about having to prospect for new fields, while pocketing billions and billions. Boo Hoo for big oil!!

it's about time they started paying for a part of this oil war themselves!! i think they should have to go over there and fight too!!
personally, i don't much care about the prices of gas going up, it's the principle of the thing for me! the prices would go up anyway for some 'reason', as there is no end to their greed!
our oil president will probably VETO it anyway!!

No problem. The oil companies will just pass the taxes onto the gas consumers by raising prices like they always do. I remember Jimmy Carter's windfall profits taxes and how they created gas shortages and higher prices. But, some people never learn from experience...

It's well to know that the price at the pump in every state reflects a .50 cent + or - STATE gasoline tax.
But yeah, I got no tears for big oil. Haven't read about the tax but you can be sure that it's a show trial that will soon disappear in amendments and loopholes.

To them its honest reason actually each and every person problematical workin tax payers gets the tab. Did you notice that Chrysler or considered one of them took out a 250,000 upload in the ny situations to thank the yank human beings whilst they have been given there money? it is stable to work out they are putting that loose money to stable use. Morons.

Corporations don't pay taxes! They incur a tax liability. One which is off-set by increasing the cost of the product or service to the consumer. Please check the price at the pump next year before you drive to the polls and vote for those who enacted this tax.

They're only crocodile tears... -You'll see that NEXT WEEK, when you go to get gas & notice the price has gone up 10 cents a gallon. :(
