I know for a fact at least two years ago, they may still do it, that the wings players would play soccer like half an hour before each game or practice. Not a game of soccer, but you know keep away or something like that, and they looked really good from what I can tell. I'm not saying that they're the best because I havn't seen the other teams play, however they're good.
Plus like peopl have mentioned alot of swedish players, which equals alot of ex soccer players.When I've listened to interviews, they would say that when they grew up (i.e lidstrom, zetterburg), every kid either played soccer or hockey, usually both.
OH and who cares if Hasek dives, he saves the damn puck am I right?

I don't really know, but I will say that 2 or 3 years ago, instead of a morning skate practice, the Rangers played soccer. Most of them weren't that good. The one player of the bunch that stood out was Straka. That was before Lundqvist was with the team, and he actually plays soccer in Sweden during the off-season.

Well, the best "soccer" team in hockey pales in comparison to any soccer team ever. Who do you actually think is a "diving" team now? I mean, I can name guys like Avery (at least in his Kings' era) and maybe somebody like Bill Barber in the Broad Street Bullies' era...but I don't really see diving as a HUGE prob in the NHL.

No way, I say the Red Wings. They have a lot of Swedes. Swedes are pretty good at soccer. Dominik Hasek is THE Diving Wonder. Interestingly enough, he calls it "goaltending".
