With a laptop of that spec you would be better off running windows me on it it would go to full screen then. XP is taking far too much of your systems memory and resorces.

I believe the video card on your laptop is a NeoMagic MagicMedia 256AV. If this is the case, you can download a Windows XP driver from the following link. (It was originally released for Windows 2000, and isn't digitally signed ... meaning that the company didn't pay Microsoft to check it with their Operating Systems, but it does, apparently, work.)

You may need to register with DriverGuide before you can download the driver, but it's free, and you won't get spammed. I've been a member for years now.

Simply download the driver to somewhere on your hard drive where you're likely to find it again (I suggest your desktop) and run the executable file that is downloaded. (I've just downloaded it, and there's just one file, 'vftprw2k.exe'. Double-click on it, and, hopefully, it will do the rest for you.)

Edit:

Before you attempt to install the new driver, you may wish to download another programme 'Belarc Advisor' (from the second link, below). When it's run, this will give you a comprehensive breakdown of the hardware and software that makes up your computer. Just check that the video adaptor is the one I've given the link for.

Toshiba or a MacBook. There the best. The mac is avalible for ANY Thing and a Microsoft Computer is just stupied because of windows vista you should get a mac off of ebay or something because they can be a lot of $$$ or you could just get it from Apple store or Bestbuy. Trust me Vista is not cool. You will have so many problems. Macs there free of almost all your problems. Google why get a mac and google why not a windows. You should agree
