My motor mount is going out,what is it and will it affect any other parts in my car

a motor mount is the part that attaches your engine to your frame.....generally made of steel & rubber fused together...when a mount fail,s it can allow your engine to lift in it,s cradle....this can have adverse affect,s on other component,s.....such as transmission,throttle cabel,s,wiring,etc.

Yep, connects the motor to the frame of the car. When it breaks it may cause some problems but I had a car with a broken mount and the only thing it did was shake and rattle.

A motor mount connects the motor to the frame, it usually is 2 pieces of metal with rubber in between to lessen vibration. typically the rubber separates from the metal allowing the engine to move, especially when you accelerate. If it is broken it needs to be replaced ASAP!

It is a mechanical part that attaches the motor to the frame or sub frame. It is the part that holds the motor in position. So if it is bad, it needs to be replaced.

your motor mount is in between your motor an your frame, you dont run out of motor mount. this is a piece of steel it might be broken but not worn out.this will cause your engine to chake

A MOTOR MOUNT IS WHAT IS USED TO ATTACH THE MOTOR TO THE FRAME---THEORETICALLY THE ENGINE COULD FALL OUT OF THE CAR IF MONUTS ARE IN POOR CONDITION...

i could be vulnerable to pass with drag pipes and be finished with it. I had an '02 XL1200 that could pull the front wheel up going into 2d without something yet throttle. Too small for my fat *** nevertheless. i'm on an '08 FXSTC now.

One day while you are driving around your engine will fall out in the road. Get it fixed.
