Just wondering, not trying to start a fight.

Would you rather have Jete and A-Rod and no more rings, or a 27th without Jeter and A-Rod (In this era, so besically Jeter and A-Rod would practically be traded or someting)

Install a hard salary cap in baseball, and see how good the Yankees would be say between $100 million in football, and the $57 million in basketball, the Yankees would have Jeter, A-Roid and a bunch of single "A" player because they would be capped out, we can only hope that happens someday, they say when the Yankees make the World Series the ratings are so high, that's because everybody hates them and wants to see them loose, cheer for the Yankees is like cheering for the "DARK SIDE OF THE FORCE" and i did hear the Yankees are for sale, good maybe that will be the end of this like it was in the early 70's those were the days when ever team had a chance to win the World Series, now on opening day 15 teams are automatically eliminated

The 27th ring would be tight. But the yankees without having jeter is terrible to even think about. They won it without A-rod, and they still can. They couldnt have traded him this year only becuase he is having a monster year. If he wasnt, they might have been able to contend for the world series by getting some good starting pitching out of a non contender. If A-rod opts out, i just hope he stays clear of Boston, cuase they would be deadly. And to the guy that said torre is a terrible coach, you are an idiot for even making that remark. He has made the playoffs every year he has been the coach of the yanks.

Derek Jeter would never be traded. Him and Jeter generate so much revenue that their image pays for their salaries and more to the Yankees. I can't imagine the yankees getting rid of either. If A-rod opts out, he'll still be a Yankee guarentee it.

Now, I would rather keep Jeter and A-rod becasue having them is having the best SS and 3B in the league on one team. I think it would be nice to get a world series ring, especially since now is their best chance, before their players get really really old.

I have been given the honor of speaking to the great Kevin Long, the hitting coach for the New York Yankees, and he said the main reason why Derek Jeter is the team captain is because of his mental attitude. He may have be the captain of the Yankees but he does not do it by himself at all. Now what Kevin Long said about A-rod is that he works harder than any other player on the yankees. So i think that A-rod is payed more because they think he will provide more and is more likely to attract other teams to him. Unlike Derek Jeter who is more like the face of the Yankees and nobody would dare take him off their team because of his popularity from the Yankee's fans and the hatred from other teams fans.

No.

I would rather have a 27th ring then Jeter and A-Rod.

I mean if Jeter and A-rod were on the team and we didnt win the WS what does that do for us?

OMG I cant answer that I'd love a 27th ring but without Jeter and Arod?Hmmm that would be like a birthday w/o the cake. Or a pool without water.. .Well you get my drift.

this is kind of a pointless question. jeter and arod wont be traded and it is very possible for them to win #27 with them both still on the team. i'd love to see them win 27 with both on the team.

give me 3 or 4 in that many years, and they're gone. oh yeah and we could win some in the future too.
