I'd say to round up to the nearest ten.
If you have 17 sheep, round up and say you have 20. But if you only have 12 sheep, it's better to round down and say you have 10.

First you need to locate the sheep - hint they usually flock around their shepherd.
Then sic a dog onto them, preferably a savage and psychotic one.
Also, don't forget to check the updated encyclopedia for further hints *cough cough*

Lay on the ground and imitate a carrot. When they come to eat you, slowly back away to where ever you're tryin to get them. Works like a charm.
