Don't elevators have to be inspected by certified inspectors? Check with your county/city inspection office. They should be able to direct you.

If you have an elevatro it is required to have two things: An operating license, issued normally by your State (Although in some places it is the county) and a record of inspections and maintenance. The l;icense is normally required to be posted inside the elevator.

Look for these items and they should have contact information for bothe the licensing authority and the company that does maintenance.
