That's a tough one. There are so many genres represented within the realm of Christian music. I'll tell you some of my personal faves, and the styles they represent.

Rich Mullins, Fernando Ortega, Bebo Norman - Singer-songwriters who write REALLY DEEP lyrics, and the music always has something deep about it as well, usually acoustic natured.

Neal Morse - also a singer-songwriter, but plays in the progressive rock style (his drummer is Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater). VERY DEEP, SPIRITUALLY SEEKING lyrics.

Skillet - hard rock/metal

Mortal Treason - hardcore/death metal

Jars of Clay, Caedmon's Call, Third Day - great "Rock" kind of material, still with deeper lyrics and instrumentation than most...

One of my favorite authors is M I C who sang I Will Offer Up My Life. Also, Martyn Layzell's Lost In Wonder (You Chose the Cross). There's also, Chris Tomlin's The Wonderful Cross and Brian Duane's You Are A Holy God.

I ESPECIALLY LOVE the music that was recreated by Worship Jamz. The songs were well sung and almost all of them were my favorite.

David Crowler's Undignified always gets me on my feet.

I hope this helps!!

PRAISE THE LORD!!

I love "The Famous One" by Chris Tomlin. Generally, I don't listen to a lot of Christian music, but, that song just makes me feel uplifted every time.
