I ordered a piece of software, and the supplier apparantly used USPS.

I used the tracking number on usps.com and it said, status, Missent.

If the sender paid for delivery confirmation, registered, express, or certified mail that has a tracking number, call the post office with the number and have them trace it. If the sender just put some stamps on it and dropped it in the mail, there may be no way to locate it now. It is possible that if it was delivered to the wrong adress or if the address the sender supplied is bad, it may be marked return to sender.

You did not give much detail for anyone to give a coherent answer to. How do you know it was the post office that caused the problem. Do you know for certain that the item was sent, and to the correct address, and with the correct postage?

If the item was important, why was it not sent by a form of mail that can be traced such as Express mail or Registered Mail with proof of receipt? Why not send by FedEx or UPS?

Give some details and maybe you will get some good advise on what your next move should be.

Make an inquiry where you sent the mail or ask for a follow-up. If not located, file a case for the cost of the item/s mailed and claim damages.
