walking and swimming are the best things you can do while pregnant.
My son is 6 months, and i still have 10 pounds left to shed before iam back to my regular weight.
Ive been in my normal pants for a long long time, but i breast feed so my boobies are HUUUGE, and i have some belly fat left.
I was 128 before pregnancy, and 170 at the end. Most of that was water, and i was back down to 150 something 24 hours after delivery.
Beast feeding is all i have done to loose weight. And MAN does it work well :)

For me, I just walked, that was about it for exercise. I am a normal weight always have been. During pregnancy I gained 50 lbs, but was borderline toxemia. After having my little one I lost 28 lbs the first week, and the remainder of the weight came off within the next year. I didn't follow any diet, I nursed, and took my baby for walks in the stroller quite often. Maybe google some hospitals and see if they have any info on the best exercises. Good luck.

It took 3 total weeks for me to lose all the baby weight = 5 extra pounds or so. I ate very healthy in the pregnancy though. My stomach is basically back to normal, but I have a long way to go with my own weight...but not because of the baby. I wanted to lose 20 pounds anyways before I got pregnant.

I walked a lot. You shouldn't do anything strenuous like running or lifting weights. After four months I'm still not down to my pre-preg weight, but am pretty close. Usually you'll keep 5 pounds that you didn't have before anyways. Post-preg, you should'nt do anything strenous for six weeks. After that, walking, jogging and swimming are great. Start weight training with lighter weights to start if that is part of your routine, and work your way up.

Walking is excellent.
As far as weight loss you may have to take into account your age as well as whether or not you are breastfeeding. I had my first baby at 23 and my last one at 36. My body didn't snap back as fast after that last one.
Also breastfeeding causes you to shrink back down faster.
