Miners - I live in PA. But seriously, there are several stories about miners being attacked by subterranean entities.

Well Now, we've got a troglodite or twenty hangin' around in the parts of Texas that got themselves some good Karst and sink holes, but those are the highschool football teams that didn't break 50% during last years season.
