I think you know at an early age if you are attracted to the same or the opposite sex in most cases.
I think there are those people who are confused and not sure about their preference and at one time would never had even thought themselves gay that now open themselves up to the possibility.
Either way, better this new openness to scared and alone.

It really depends on the person. Some people are absolutely sure, while others are closer to bi or may be deluding themselves, so it takes them longer.

About your edit: I think that would be quite unusual, someone acting gay because it's fashionable. Most of the time, it's just the opposite; they're discriminated against, hated, etc.

Ok. I think I understand what you're saying. When I was in school I thought it was ok for people to be gay because I was taught by my mother that being gay was not wrong. She taught me that someone is gay because that's just how they are. The same with straight people. That is just the way we are. She always told me that if one of her kids was gay then she would love them just the same. I am straight but, I still believe what she taught me. I am teaching my daughter the same way! Does that answer your question?

Are you specific your no longer Bisexual, in case you like a guy the comparable way you like your 4 women, and you nonetheless love women such as you like a boy then you definately could be bisexual. and you may''t no longer settle for your self gay, you already customary your self when you consider which you be conscious of your gay, Its like me asserting how am i able to settle for myself as an American if i became born in u . s . a .? Your in basic terms gay and you have customary your self..flow On!

Some people need more time than others to sort out their true feelings.

But once they do, they really do know want they want. I wouldn't question something as personal as sexuality for someone after getting a confidant answer from them.

You don't have to have sex to know whether or not you're gay, straight, or bi.

Age dosen't matter !! You know who your attracted to theres no age.. I knew ever since I was 3 years old I was attracted to guys I didn't find out what "gay" meant until I was 7 and ever since I was 7 in 17 now I've known I was "gay" distinguishing your sexual orientation doesn't adhere to a particular age.

17/gay or bi/male lol

most people know from an early age if they are gay or not...many cannot admit it to themselves for years ...maybe what you are seeing is people learning to believe it's okay to be gay...I was gay at 17 --I tried to commit suicide cause I couldn't deal with it....I think that today's ways are better.

Why teach kids it's not ok, especially since a percentage of the kids are gay or bisexual. There's nothing wrong with being who you are.

It's their sexuality and they'll figure it out on their own eventually. Perhaps, they've also figured out that there's nothing morally proper about judging others on their sexual orientation and expect the same treatment from others if it applies to them. They sound like good kids!

none of us can arbitrarily tell another when or how they form their identity.

it is within our power to respect their ability to sort it all out for themselves; all we can do is hope that they - and we - live our lives as good and responsible people, by whatever label of status our lives bring about.
