What would VICTORY be? The death of all Shiite? All Sunni? They have hated each other since the death of Muhammad. Should we go to war with Turkey after they invade Iraq to kill the Kurds? Get real! There is no Victory. Saddam Hussein was a monster but that is how he was able to hold the country together. The screw up goes back to the End of World War One. Blame Laurence of Arabia. If we pull out, our real enemy, Iran, will take over Iraq and attack Israel. Saudi Arabia will defend the Sunnis in Iraq. Turkey will wipe out the Kurds. The USA will Invade Iran. We created the whole problem by putting our puppet, the Pshaw, in charge of Iran. Just as we put Babtista in charge of Cuba, Why we, the USA Government, murdered Allende after he was elected president of Chile. Like we refused to allow Vietnam free elections as promised by the Geneva accords, because we knew that Ho Chi Minh would be elected. Get real. Support Democracy. Do not let the NAZIs take over our country.

There will be no Victory. Both Iraq and the USA are the losers (loss of lives and wasted money). I believe that the USA is paranoid about being defeated or being seen less important on a global scale. Look at China,in my opinion the most powerful country in the world, but they dont stir **** and they are not arrogant like the USA.
What would Bush do if China demanded that he dismantle all of their Abombs. Do you think he would. And if he did not what would the world think if China conquered the USA would they be heros or not.
Would the Chineese be VICTORIOUS?

Saddam was a monster and kept the country together through fear and the deaths of thousands of his own citizens who opposed him. The need to remove him was real. Victory would mean a stable and self-sufficient country of Iraq. Is it possible? Perhaps not. The best thing to do may be to divide the country into several smaller countries by religious differences. I doubt Turkey will invade because they have a need to keep on friendly terms with the US government. Iran is the real threat and it may not be possible to keep them out of Iraq if the US leaves no matter what kind of government is set up there.

Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat.

While I pretty much agree with you, this isn't really a question. Somebody is going to report you.

We would have a chance to win if we really fought this war instead of playing politics.
