Ever seen or heard of that foreclosed home commercial where you call them and they find you a house? I think they are called Home Buyers Now or something? Does it work? Is it a scam?

Regarding anything like that, be very, very, careful.

Know what you are doing.

Know the industry.

Many companies are possibly scams.
Do a search on bbb.org to determine if there are complaints about the company.

As the saying goes, if it sounds to good to be true,
it probably is!

Research the company online and see what comes up.

I haven't used the service but would bet it's a scam. Well, maybe not a real scam but you will pay dearly, I'm sure. The foreclosed houses in California are going for the same price as the rest of the market so, why bother? I certainly would not pay market price for a foreclosed house simply because it bails out the bank that sold the shaky mortgage in the first place. The banks seem to think it's a seller's market. I haven't even seen or heard of any auctions going on. Bottom line, I doubt you'll save any money going through a service like you've described.

Try calling those places that you've listed. Ask them questions and if they start out by saying that they need 19.95 for some outrageous amount of money for foreclosure information, I would hang up the phone faster than you can say whatdayfarkareyoucrazy?

Scam-
there are thousands and thousands of foreclosures and they are public knowledge.
you don't need them to assist you in finding a foreclosed house....they are so easy to find.

good luck :)
