I try not to be dishonest. About 16yrs ago we had carpets fitted in the bedrooms and because the children were young then, i use to iron their school clothes on a thick towel on the floor. It wasn't because i didn't have an ironing board it was just for quickness. Anyway i ironed their clothes and when i lifted the towel i noticed small holes those of an iron, so i panicked and put a mat over it. It was a good job it didn't look out of place. A few weeks later my husband was hoovering the rooms and removed the mat and then all hell broke loose, not with me but the carpet fitter. To cut a long story short my husband was reimbursed with £30. The fitter said it must have had faults in the carpet. It was only 10yrs later that i admitted it, he was a bit shocked but took it in his stride. It has never been mentioned again.

My parents went away for a week one time and left me in charge !! I had a party that got out of control there were people there I never seen before in my life and they trashed the whole house !! They even stole the turkey for Christmas out of the freezer!! The carpet was a floating beer lake cigarette buts everywhere even my Dads favourite lava lamp wasn't spared!! A fight broke out in one of the back bedrooms black heel makes all over the walls!! Get the picture!! Well my friends who just happen to work for a carpet cleaning business came to my rescue and we cleaned for 2 days and when my parents came home I told them that as a gift to them we cleaned all the carpets and the house and they thank me over and over again!! I poured all the liquid out of the lava lamp and poured in water it never worked the same after that but Dad put it down to old age!! I was picking cigarette burns out of the carpet with a pair of scissors and teasers OMG what a mess !! They never found out and I never told them!!

i had an unfortunate incident where I accidentally dropped two 2,000lb bombs on open farmland in Scotland. They didn't go off and as far as I know didn't hit anyone either.
