I'm not that oriented about water levels and altitude measurements of the different locations in the Philippines. Let's suppose the sea-level was to rise 2-3 meters up within the next 4 weeks... where would you seek refuge?
What would you think would happen to life as we know it in Manila? The entire Philippines?
And would Gloria Arroyo need a life-vest or would she stay afloat anyway with that giant head of hers?

Up in the mountains of Makiling or Apo =)

Manila will be submerged. Have you ever experienced Makati and Manila on rainy days? The knee-high floods that is supposedly normal?

She wouldn't need any life vest. She is currently person # 1. The army will be quick to hoist her in a helicopter and drop her at the highest Philippine peak. LOLs.

It would be an utter disaster if that were to happen to the Philippines. I'm thinking that Manila would probably be underwater, especially since the sewage system is so bad. It can barely handle the water from drizzles, imagine how terrible it would be if the sewers were trying to take in 2 to 3 meters of water!
And though Filipinos are resilient, as Allan had said, it would still be very hard for everyone, especially since the main base of most government offices are in the Manila area. Unless they have a hidden base somewhere up on Baguio, it would be very difficult for the government to extend a hand to our fellowmen if they themselves need to seek refuge.
I would probably move with my family to our house in Tagaytay. We don't usually go there since we deem that it's a bit far from the rest of civilization, but if a disaster like that were to occur, we need to seek higher ground and I think Tagaytay would be a good bet. It's mountainous, so the water levels may stay at a minimum level, if not completely leave the place unaffected.
Gloria wouldn't need to worry. She's so evil, the waters would probably stay away from her. I'm thinking of GMA in a scenario similar to the parting of the red sea. ^_~

Mount Makulot. in Batangas.

Manila will always be flooded but as Allan has said, we would still find ways to make the most out of the situation. Knowing that Filipinos are very resilient.

About Gloria? She will stay afloat because the PSG will carry her through.

Al is familiar with that the Pacific Ocean is 14.9 inches larger than the Atlantic Ocean on opposite aspects of the Panama Canal. The Atlantic will upward thrust first by using fact water will locate "point". It wasn't on the East Coast, or the Gulf now replaced into it? with any luck an Earthquake will shake that villa aside.

Actually the Philippines could use some rain right now, with the impending drought and energy crisis that is corollary to it the government is in a panic where to get hydroelectric energy sources.

I would move to the interior into the mountains. The higher the better. Arroyo could be floating next to Gore.

it would be catasthropic to the philippines but again we are a resilient people. we will move on and conquer our difficulties as we have in the past. we will help each other and together with the world community find solutions to prevent another similar event from happening.

as to smole, her life as a pole dancer would enable her to survive from the rising floodwaters. of course her flotation device would also come in handy.**

Lucky to be from Baguio. You're all welcome to come up. GMA, I'm sure will be coming to Baguio, too. Maybe she can open the gates to The Mansion House to serve as sanctuary for all.
