If the women don't mind, I don't see anything wrong with it. It's done all the time.

I see one circumstance where this would be perfectly fine. If the women of the church formed the fellowship intending to take on the cooking and cleaning as one of their responsiblities, then yes it would be perfectly fine to do so.

I personally don't think so, but many churches tend to do things drawn on strict traditional lines. So trying to change a more traditional thinking church is like trying to swim upstream. Better to find a church that is more progressive and divides tasks based on ability, not gender

Im southern baptist and most churches we been to the women did (mostly older women,as they insist and no room for the younger ones) but I have seen men help...put up food,wipe and take down tables etc.

I'm a woman. What do you think my answer is? However, if you belonged to a faith that didn't allow intermingling of the sexes, making men help wouldn't be an option.
