u need to have an action replay. you go to add new game if it isnt the already then and put the code with the "m" first. then put the cheats in that u one. but codejunkies is mostly action replay codes

I've never used an Action Replay, but a friend of mine does. That site only has codes for the Action Replay, they aren't just regular cheat codes you enter in a game. You need to buy the Action Replay to use those cheat codes.
