It sometimes sickens me to see that the generation that is currently in power is not treating our youth seriously. We didn't take pollution seriously in the 60s and 70s. Look we're we are at right now. And I do not like the way adults treat youth. Look at the CNNTube presidential candidate Q&A session, I mean "debate." Such stupid questions were asked. Your average American doesn't know anything about our spending, corporate rights. But he sure knows something about how Pat Robertson is a "prophet of our times." Some American youth are intelligent, angry about how America is being run. They can talk without flinching on the issues. I have a feeling that America may experience a brain drain in the next 50 years. If you see an American adult with a sign that says "DOWN WITH OBAMA OSAMA AND CHELSEA'S MAMA", do you expect more from the youth of this country?

I am disappointed of the generations before us that have known something wrong was going on (like pollution or poverty) and chose to ignore it. Chose ignorance, rather than taking the opportunity to become informed enough to help the situation. I know there are kids my age that are like that too, but we are still young and a lot of us are going to ignore that information because we are still to young to handle it. (im 15) Hopefully when we grow up we will be more receptive, knowing that a WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IF WE JUST TRY!!! I have heard so many people say "the worlds not going to get better." or "no matter what i do i cant change anything." and things along the lines of "the world is too far gone to save.".... that makes me so mad. We can change things if we really try. One day we will be the discision makers in the world and I can only pray that we will all realize how uch we can really do. Stop giving up. Through hard work and perserverance we can make this world a better place!!!

So much so I could cry--and I am an adult!!!
I agree with everything the first answerer said, and it's heartbreaking. Many, many adults are setting such poor examples for their children and grandchildren--the world is going to end up even worse.
I also hate, really hate, that adults have no time to spend with their children, hardly any time to spend with their spouses--everything is about the almighty dollar--and that is bad.

as an adult who has watched the disentegration, of mothers, fathers, families and children. all this is based on a narcissistic lifestyle of pure selfishness, walk away from the kids, spouses, party it up. get hooked on meth, crack, alcohol, etc...forget love, dedication, loyalty, and responsibility. just live in that prince charming and cinderella fantasy at 35,45,50,55, when you should be enjoying life, kids and grandkids. yes i,m real dissappointed as one who is living proof of the collateral damage.
