what are the copyright laws on making CDs for ppl--even when they're not your family members--Cite sources please

you are copying computer programs? photos? music? movies? each would have specific ramifications. generally, making copies of copyrighted materials by definition is a crime. there are some limited exceptions, and sometimes permission can be obtained from the rights holders.

it's theft and you could be prosecuted under copyright laws
