It was the first cinematic video ever made directed by Russell Muchullay in the country of Sri Lanka. It was of 3 videos in a series that they filmed there ("Lonely in Your Nightmare & Save a Prayer" were the others)

Simon Le Bon said in 1999 at a concert I attended "this is a song I wrote about a person who really drives you wild!"

The laugh track sampled in the song is Nick Rhodes ex-wife Julianne Friedman. It was one of the earliest uses of "sampling" in pop music.
