There are no food restrictions when your going through IVF.

However she may not feel well at times because of the drugs they give her to make her produce multiple eggs for them to take out.

After she has gone through the IVF process she will be in a lot of pain for awhile, when I went through it, it hurt to even walk for about 2 weeks.

My husband was allowed to be in the room with me and hold my hand when they did it, I almost broke his hand from squeezing due to the pain when they put the needle in to freeze with no pain killers, they need you awake and alert to do that part and it was the most pain I have ever felt in my life. They don't tell you that because they don't want to scare you but she will find out.

Good Luck to your friend, I hope it works for her!

hi, take no notice of that woman telling you how much it hurt, its ok for her to say now shes had it, ive just finished my 1st cycle i have another 6 days to wait till i can do a pregnancy test, they put u asleep to get ur eggs collected, well they do in the hospital i used and when i had my eggs put back in which is the bit they let your partner sit in on didnt hurt a little bit, it was easier than a smear.. they dont give u any eatin restrictions while your going therew the treatment but once u have had ur eggs put back in you have to treat it as if ur pregnant and not eat soft cheese or runny eggs and mayo. Good Luck with the ivf hopefully it'll all be worth it xxxxx
