First thing I'd like to know, are you telling the truth? You've made quite a few claims on here. Not the least of which is your older sister is a big star but you can't say who. You've also claimed that you are about to star in a movie. If you want to learn something stop playing games. People post questions on here to try to learn. If you don't know the answer is it right to answer anyway and try to sound like something you are not? There are a lot of kids on here who say they are actors and models and are not. I hope you are not one of them.

First I want to know who your agent is that would send an inexperienced actress to an audition? Second there is an entire complex routine to auditioning that I cover in my book, The Tao of Acting, Mentoring for Aspiring Actors. How old are you?

General tips: 'Assume a virtue if you have it not,' as Shakespeare said. Be poised and confident from begining to end. Never show your nervousness or inexperience. When you enter, give the casting director your resume and headshot and introduce your self. When it is time to read the script, just speak the lines naturally and directly into the eyes of whomever is reading with yoiu. Do let me know who your agent is nad what film you are reading for. Thanks, Doc

Hi,

the reality is that you will go to this audition and get some experience, but it is obvious that you don't have much training if you are asking questions like how to stand or talk or move.

I know it's probably not what you want to hear, but if you want to go to the audition, don't get your hopes up too high. Look at it as a learning experience.

Try and find out as much as you can about the character you will be playing and instead of trying to concentrate on how to stand or move or talk, concentrate on being that character. If you don't know, then find out. Go and observe people like the character you will be playing and try to BE that person without thinking about how they will move, etc.

The reality is, that most probably the answers you receive here will not be enough to accompany you and coach you to give the kind of performance you want to give.

So here is a question for you. Do you think that an actor could get better advice going to yahoo.answers to ask how to move, talk or stand for an audition in a movie or do you think that he/she would get more benefit and someone to actually show him/her in a good class in a good school with a good teacher and get his/her advice there? Which kind of advice do you think would be more helpful, especially for long-term success?

If you have to act, then, you are not ready to be an actor.

You are ready when you can crawl into the part and seamlessly be the character as if it was you. Temporarily leaving your true self on the shelf in the corner.
