Last time I bought a carton of locally made marlboros in the Philippines was in 2005 and it cost me around 300 pesos per carton depending on where you buy it. That's about 6.5 USD with today's conversion rates.
Let's just say the prices went up 50-80 pesos, I'd still say it's cheap as hell.

I think a carton/ream costs about P300/P400.
Here in Australia the same costs about $65 that's about P3000. Most of the price difference is a tax of one kind or another.
Thank God that I no longer smoke.

Before I knew of life abroad, it costs PHP15 and back then we'd scrimp and have winston instead. Now wonders of wonders, the price is double.

carton..you mean one ream or 1 fliptop?
all i know is 1 carton (fliptop, 20 yosi inside) costs about P30.

the 20stick pack was around P27.
So a ream with 10 packs was just P270.
