I am not 100% sure, but years ago, when I lived on the east coast in one of the cities, there was a Vietnamese family that lived behind me. They caught pigeons and roasted them. Reason dictates that they are not accustomed to beef or pork and their diet consisted mainly of fish, rice and other white meats. I have always heard that dog and cat are either a staple in some of the Asian countries, or a delicacy - I don't recall which. But, I think this answers your question. Like I said - I am not 100% sure - this is just what I've known.

I don't know that your statement is true. But, why do some many westerners who go to India want to eat their cows?
