They hated me in the beginning
they said I was too tall, I was ugly
They also said the work of vincent, and all the gents in his select group, was awful
but now they adrore me, and him and all his peintres friends too
Now i am beautiful, now I am an icon
the very symbol of the place, everyone in the city,country, for that matter everyone treats me like royalty
I'm usied in films, photos, magazine
all this at 118 years of age
who am I???

You are, of course, mais oui! The Eiffel Tower! Vincent had an ear for art...which never got him busy with anything but brushes. You, on the other hand, have an ear for poetry and an mind for trivia.
Careful of spelling errors...don't forget to capitalize the first letter of "names". You might want to work on your line breaks as well...trim it up a bit...you might even consider doing this as a Carmen Figuraturum. It might work.

i love that poem but i really do think it's the statue of liberty because everyone did hate her and she was an artwork of Vincent plus she's 118 and obviously she's an American icon and is used in just about everything.

Great poem. I like the use of the words, "ugly and icon". Always proof-read your work. Sometimes it helps to use a computer word program that uses spell check. You can also buy books like "English for Idiots" or "Writing for Idiots". And, by means am I saying you are an idiot, you are not. But those books are very helpful and very easy to use. I'm a poet as well.
