The county courthouse records division where you were born. Can't be more specific because you don't say where you were born.

www.vitalchek.com is the easiest way to order a certified copy of a U.S. birth certificate from any state. Otherwise, you can contact the Ohio office of Vital Records.

Contact your county office where you were born. You can request a copy. It may cost something to get it. In Michigan, the cost is about $12 for a copy.

you can not get birth certs from the internet.
you must contact the Health Department of the city or county where you were born.
when you call they will tell you what information you need to provide in order to obtain it through the mail.
If you can go down to the health dept, they will ask you the questions there.
the questions are like your mothers maiden name, father name, date of and time of birth etc....)

good luck :)

go to vitalchek.com, they will charge you and it won't be the exact original birth certificate, but it will be official and contain the raised seal.
