Wherever you read this, IT IS NOT TRUE!!! The pressure of the water kind of delays it, but any change in the pressure will make it come out REALLY fast. Coughing, sneezing and sometimes breathing changes the pressure. Always wear a tampon (as wearing a pad in water is just plain stupid), it will save you the embarrassment. This poor girl I met on vacation wasn't allowed to wear tampons and then when she got her period it was on the day ofswim meet and it went EVERYWHERE in the pool. Okay maybe thats an exaggeration, but imagine that happening. Hope this helps xo

Your period DOES NOT STOP in water.

It only LOOKS like it because the water disperses the menstrual flow to look like it slows down or stops.

Tampons or diva/moon cups must be worn in the water.

Yes, the cold water/pressure can slow the flow for a time.

If you have your period, and you get in water, such as the shower or pool or whatever, the muscle where the blood comes out closes. That's what's supposed to happen. Of course, once you get out of the water, the muscle will open again, so be careful!

They say it is so but I have gotten in the tub. It slows a bit but not really gone. I wouldnt trust going into a pool.
