Chavez has been DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED three times with overwhelming majorities in elections that were vetted by an international monitoring group.

Except for his justified harsh rhetoric about the US,Chavez is absolutely no threat to his neighbours nor any other country in the world.

After over 100 years of outrageous atrocities in Central and South America by the US,the PEOPLES in countries in the region are at long last venting their hatred of the US and it's Robber Baron type of capitalism that has ravaged their countries for years.

Venezuela,Brazil,Bolivia are but two of a growing number of countries that have voted in DEMOCRATIC socialist governments on a wave of justified anti-Americanism.

Three years ago when Bush and Rice started their demonization and vilification of Chavez (always a sign that the US is about to VIOLATE a country's sovererenty) ,the powerful Organization Of American States and in particular the President of Brazil warned the US that NEVER AGAIN (Just like the Jews rightly say) will the region allow the US to commit an atrocity like it did in Chile in 1973 when the US ousted the DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED ALLENDE,killed him and put in his place their FRIEND and puppet, the vile murderous Pinochet who was later charged with CRimes Against Humanity after he slaughtered thousands of Chileans all supported by the US.(And you wonder why Americans are hated around the world).

Compared to the evil Bush,Chavez is a SAINT for Chavez has not waged an ILLEGAL war of choice based upon a pack of obscene lies that has resulted in the slaughter of over 400,000 INNOCENT Iraqi civilians neither has he tortured and killed prisoners neither has he turned a TERRORIST free zone into a terrorist haven neither has he made the US and the world LESS safe from terrorist attacks because he has enraged Muslims so much that al qadai's membership has soared.

As the attatched URL testifies to ,one of the worst terrorists in the last century has been the US.

Bush needs to be impeached and then arrested and hauled off to the World Court to be tried for Crimes Against Humanity just like the US's old but dead friend AUGUSTE PINOCHET !!!!!

there was a test in a question that determined a person's degree of liberalness or conservatism. If Bush were to take the test, I am sure his result would have been extremely slanted to the right. having a person with any extreme views, whether right or left, as our greatest leader cannot serve the best interests of anyone in the long run. I am a liberal, but I would not vote for the most liberal candidate just because I am one...No, Hugo Chavez, Bush, H. Clinton, Ralph Nader, Romney, Newt Genrich, Guiliani, or Obama...none of them would be a uniting president

You are so wrong.

If Hugo were president of this country, wouldn't the now mean that 80% of the US poplulation would have to leave or get banned because it critizes the goventment? That's what Hugo's doing over in his country, he kicks out people from his country for critiziing it.

Are you serious?

You cannot be serious. GWB is not hauling families out of their homes at night and disappearing them. He is not putting reporters of the NY Times in jail for sedition.

And you claim to be a humanist?

Keep watching Venezuela and five years from now come back and ask the same question.

Yes, I think it would be. Your rights to public speech on your computer, listening to your slanted news stations and many other things might well be taken away. Those are rights that you truly enjoy right now. Correct?

I can't imagine anyone glorifying a 'real' dictator, but as always that's your right.
