I would like know where I can find miniature Asian umbrellas or parasols, not the kind that goes in drinks, but about 9 inches, to hang on a Christmas tree. Does anyone know of a source?

any liquor store - or even walmart in the party supplies, then hot glue a colored ribbon or gold thread to the top tied in a bow, to hang on the tree.

I did an extensive search and could only come up with the small drink type ( which everyone is suggesting to you ) or the large 32" parasols. May I suggest something else you could do? Go to the site below and print out some of the beautiful designs. You could then mount them on rectangles cut out of frosted Plexiglases. Drill a hole in the top and insert a gold ribbon to attach to the tree. Drill another hole in the bottom and insert a small gold tassel. I would suggest having the prints printed in reverse, to apply to the back of the ornaments. I would also apply a sheet of laminate paper to the front and the back to preserve the image. You can get this laminate papers at any large craft store.
