this morning i was studying and chewing gum and i was sitting up against a door and my sister opened the door from the other side and it scared me and i swallowed my gum lol well i half swallowed it, it started to go down my throat but then i coughed it up and spit it out, but all of the juices from the gum went down the wrong pipe... and i was coughing for like 20 minutes and now my throat is soooo sore. i took a chloraseptic sore throat strip but it doesnt help that much and we dont have any other medicine for throats, so are there any home remedies or things to make it feel better??

1] hot water with honey and lemon every two hours, alternating with
2] a full glass of water in between hours
3] steamy bath or shower
4] vaporizer
The acidic fluids in your stomach have irritated your throat - pharynx, larynx, and esophagus. Time will help.
***If you develop a persistent cough, or ache/pain in your chest, go to a doctor to make sure you didn't inhale any of that stuff -
it's corrosive, and can cause a pneumonia.

Sore throats can be bacterial(Strep) or Viral. If it is viral strepthroat all you can do is gargle with warm(hot warm) salt water. Viral strepthroat have to be waited out.

If it is bacterial, better approach the doctor and get medication. As streptococcus is very dangerous to your health, if left untreated. Antibiotics from Doctor's prescription might make you feel better.

Since you might not know till you make the test, go visit the doctor right away(ASAP). Best of luck.

You only have one pipe so it went down the right one.
Try gargling with warm salt water.

antibiotic and some warm water
that's would be good enough
the rest u got wait for the throat heal itself
advoid cold water

Try drinking something warm, or having something cold and creamy, like ice cream or frozen yogurt.
Both of these may sooth the irritation from your coughing.

sounds like it's irritated from all that coughing. there may not be much you could do. however, try gargling with warm salt water. it might help ease it a bit.
