I was taking a road trip across the U.S. and my Moped broke down... I walked to your house explained my situation and asked, "can I crash here until I get it fixed"?
What would you say?

Hmm....I would ask for some identification. lol. No, jk. I would pry ask if you needed to use the phone and tell you to come in and make yourself at home. You could sleep in the spare bedroom....it has its own bathroom with a jetted bathtub. Care to watch a movie tonight then too? What do you want me to rent so I know when you come and break down in front of my house...

I would tell you to find the closest hotel. Sorry, but no way am I going to let a perfect stranger sleep in my house, that's just asking for trouble.

1. a moped.. gawd........ didn't even know they still had such things.
2. sleep wherever you crash, except in the masterbed room...... extra blankets and towels are in the linen closet... end of the hall.

I would let you know that I live in a homeless shelter and invite you in with me . . . well . . . not WITH me . . . over on the men's side. And in the morning we can figure out what to do about your moped.

You wouldn't get an answer because I do not answer the door for people I do not know. But, if for some reason you did get an answer, you could not stay at my house. Sorry.
