JohnDoe.. a simple thumbs down won't do.... Morons like you need to be told. Bush CANNOT shut the Media down.. The Corporates that own the Media, OWN the likes of Bush... so you see he has no power over them, but the reverse. What GWB and the Media have is power of uneducated, ill-informed, lemming like buffoons like you. Free thinkers like me are a little harder to subjugate.

Perception is everything. The truth is the truth and there shouldn't any debate on that...(there is of course). The real problem is that Sean Penn is not an elected official of the American People. Truly, he has no business meeting with foreign governments.

And if that is what he wants to do, then he should seek the proper political appointments.

Also, why doesn't he visit the German Chancellor or the British Prime Minister of whoever is running Norway these days??? No...he consistently visits the guys on the wrong side of the US. Chavez is a punk...plain and simple. He is stepping all over the rights of his people and takes every opportunity to tweek and irritate the US.

Mr. Penn would never support this creep if he were a US President...and yet has convinced himself that he can have a meaningful dialogue with this horses butt on behalf of the American People.

This is what makes folks on the right so angry. We can all agree to disagree and we have a national forum for this kind of debate.

When you take it in your own hands to visit other nations in current, future, or possible conflict with the US...well that just seems a bit out of line.

And let's not forget...a great American named Charles Lindbergh did these sorts of things in the late 1930's to Nazi Germany. And it cost him the affection and admiration of the American people for the rest of his life.

No way,not in a free society.Truth can only be the enemy of the state in a dictatorship.A truth teller can only be a traitor if the country is totalitarian.
"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State."
-- Joseph Goebbels, German Minister of Propaganda, 1933-1945

Distorting the truth sure does. Sean Penn is an actor. He has no education and clearly has no idea what hugo chevaz is trying to do.

Communist like you and sean pean and chavez have been defeated. You lost, we won, and the world is better for it. I imagine you are a young kid or just some uneducated black dude running your mouth about things you nothing of.

If GWB shut down all of the opposition media what would you say? What if took money out of peoples personal bank accounts for himself. What if he had 1,000's of people killed and jailed because they spoke out against him.....Well smart *** that is exactly what hugo chavez is doing....

So I ask..is the idiot who posted this question an idiot?.A simple thumbs up will do just fine.

That's the far rights interpretation of things. It seems like if any American associates themselves with an "American Hater" they are automatically a traitor. Quite frankly, I am I tired of hearing that non-sense.
Note: I must admit, Sean Penn is wacky.

No, it sets you free. Many Americans fought and died for Sean Penn's right to believe as he wishes.

Mr. Specoli's trip only proves that he would rather negotiate with a known enemy of his own country then to work with the government to find a solution to the hardship of the U.S. people.

Do not confuse truth with a fvcked up belief. Penn is a ba$tardous traitor and should have his citizenship revoked. Let Chavez take care of the little puke head.
