Ever had something happen that you can't rationally explain?

1 night my bff& I were home alone& in my rent's family room in the basement. We had the 'puter& TV on & was on the phone w/ the lights on. All of a sudden we heard coughing upstairs in the kitchen-it didn't make sense-someone couldn't have com in due to door location. It wasn't a cough we recognized! We both looked& stopped talking. We heard it again! I told my phone call that I thought someone was in the house! I said I had to go& I would call them back. I hung up& said."If someone is in the house we cannot escape from down here." I grabbed a bar knife& she a golf club. We went up the stairs& saw darkness! I tried to turn on lights& it wouldn't work! We came to the sittingroom& went for the light but only darkness! We went threw the house searching the rooms carefully. No one! I called back& he came over! He arrived& looked. But no lights! Only basement had power. My dad came then& I panicked& began telling him he looked at me like I was crazy as he turned on one light after another!

Okay then...I would say it's a spirit that lived there, for instance our house used to be a nursing home...:0( you thought your house was scary, imagine how many things happen at ours!! Once I woke up in the middle of the night and smelled cigarette smoke really strong - and no one in our family smokes and then I heard laughing like two men chatting merrily - I was SOOOOO freaked out, I started crying. So, I understand completely.

i think when you get so scared you lose your thought in training and you forget how to do the simplest things right. Maybe you weren't turning the lights on right! other than that you're head and thoughts were playing games with ya or who knows? I had an odd thing like that happen to me as well. Me and mom mom were out side by a ranch and we for some odd reason went into la-la land when all of a sudden the wire fence went crazy and started shaking we thought it was probably someone who threw a rock at the fence but since the ranch is located in the middle of nowhere when we got close to the fence which was less than 15 feet away to see who had throw the rock i swear we saw nothing in sight the scariest part was the fact that it was just the two of us in the middle of nowhere!

Man that's so creepy i hate when stuff like that happens. One time i was home alone when i was like 14 and i heard this noise like someone was searching through the house and i was watching a scary movie at the time so i got a knife from the kitchen and searched room to room but like you i didn't find anything. I've also had things fly off shelves when no-one was in the room it's really scary when things like that happen!

Yes i went to toilet today and was not successful, don't know why??

ok seriously i once had a dream that i was walking alone on a lonely street at night and there was an old women wearing a cloak selling peanuts.So i went up to her asked for peanuts and when i gave her the money i saw she had no eyes, nose, lips totally plain face and her hands had no fingers or thumbs and no fate lines, all plain.I was scared to death and ran away and bumped into another person.He asked me what was wrong i told him what i saw he said "was it like this" and removed his overcoat and muffler and he too had that plain face with no lips etc and that was when i woke up.

Now the strange part is that i had this dream for 5 consecutive days and similar scary dreams and i was only 9.But i still remember that dream very lucidly.

I was about 16, had my boyfriends maroon mustang for the weekend because he had reserves. I was going to get ready Sunday evening to go pick him up. Went home, nobody there, in my bedroom changing and heard a high pitched weird sound. My dog came in the bedroom, looking around, heard it too. I said to her Oh, Sissy it is just mom back playing a trick on us, laughed and went to the door and said ok mom I know it is you and you are not scarring me, (cause she loved to do that) went back in the bedroom and son of gun here we go again. The dog and I are wondering what in the hell we are hearing???? To make a long story short I don't know, but scared the bejebbers out of us. I really think the house was haunted. Several spooky things happened through the years. Who knows?

yes all the time...My nephew saw a man ran from our drive way a couple of weeks ago and he ran toward the field in the back of the house...so my husband and I went and checked it out...no sign of anyone, and on top of that there was no footprints(shoe prints) in the driveway(it had been rainy) logically there should have been prints right, but there wasn't any... I have had our dogs put back in the house when there was no possible way because we don't have a doggy door and we didn't let them back in...we hear footsteps and noone is there, talking in the house when we are quite..go figure...life is strange to say the least...peace and God bless
