Hiya all,
Am going to Las Vegas with some friends soon (8 or 9 of us), however we may not all be staying at the same casinos (some going for upscale, some cheaper).
That being said was just wondering if the casino hotels allow guests of their hotels to bring friends with them to their pool area?
Much thanks in advance!

Just an added addendum. The hotel we're planning on staying at is The MGM Grand.
Anyone know how cool they are with bringing non-guest friends into the pool?

Generally, they don't allow guests to bring others in - otherwise, you'd have locals bribing hotel guests all the time at the best pools, BUT I think it depends on the hotel. The other thing is - if you're going over a weekend that has a big event happening, don't even try it because security is upped for those things. (I went over a weekend of a DeLaHoya fight and I needed my room key and ID in hand pretty much at all times.)
NYNY scans the room keys for everyone. The Hard Rock used to issue bracelets for every person in the room, for each day you were staying (different color each day).
If you're dead set on trying it, you might want to observe it a little before you try this. In other words, those who are staying at the hotel go to the pool first. If things are lax (and I really doubt they will be, but you never know) then bring the others the next day. BUT don't be shocked or belligerant if you're caught and asked to leave the area.

The use of the key is for security and yes they will need you to come get them; best so right people are wandering hotel rooms. The pool is for guests but if two one you, one with key walk in as if you know what you are doing, probably no issue. Loved the Luxor. There is the pyramid rooms and the step rooms. Two great night clubs. BTW Stratosphere is just off Strip and not walking distance to other end of Strip (4 miles)

Just go in quietly. But make sure you have more than one room key to show to get in. I've done the same thing many times with my friends in Vegas when we stay at different hotels and pool hop around.

It depends on the hotel. Some don't like it, others just want to know you have guests.

You need your door key and just tell them that you're both in the same room together. When I stayed at the Luxor there was 4 of us and only one of us had to swipe the key card

Every hotel has different rules, but I'd guess 99% of them wouldn't allow it. However, I'm sure you could get away with it as long as you all aren't being loud and unruly.

Don't ask, just do! If your friends get asked to leave, just say "Sorry, I didn't know."
