All you need is a passport - some countries have things called 'tourist visas' - and I believe they give those to you at the airport when you land. You tell their immigration services where you are going, why, how long you will be there, etc.

if you're staying less than 3 months, and don't plan to work, then no, you don't need a visa.

but you do need a passport.
