This is your first child so it will take longer....if you are a smaller framed woman you will notice it around 4 months a buldge...i mean if you lay on your belly you will feel it....it's soo cool! Every woman is different however. There is no "set time"....good luck and congrats!

It was about five months that I started noticing it through my non-maternity clothes. A month or so prior to that, though, my husband noticed it when I didn't have pants on. I'm eight months pregnant. In the past few weeks it's become more noticeable in my maternity clothes. Friends comment that I still look thin. When I don't wear maternity shirts (I'm carrying low, so I still wear some of my bigger shirts) I just look pudgy, still. Actually, I wore my black maternity shirt yesterday, and I just thought my front view made me look pudgy.
At the time of conception, I was close to six feet tall and 170. Yesterday at my doctor's appointment, I weighed in at 193.I can still feel my hipbones and ribs, so this is all baby. Gee, this will be a fun birth, if she takes after her parents. (My husband was nine pounds at birth, I was eight.)
It is different for every woman. There is a woman at my church who I think is about four months pregnant. (Her baby is due in December.) She's much shorter than me and when we saw each other a few weeks ago, she looked much bigger than me. I have friends who are about my height who also said they didn't show much during their pregnancies, especially their first ones. I guess being taller, we have more room for the baby. That's what one of the doctors told me. My doctor was having trouble finding the baby's heart beat at one visit (scaring me) and called in another doctor. He found it and said that because I have a long waist, it would be a little lower.
Anyway, I hope this helps.

There's really no answer for that. I am a very slim small framed person. I think the smaller you are the faster you'll show. My friend who was pregant at the same time was a big girl and you couldnt tell she was pregnant til she was 6 months. With me you could tell at 8 weeks.

I thought it was getting bigger at like 14 weeks, but people who knew me couldn't tell until around 19 weeks. It took until about 24 before strangers could actually tell. Now I'm 26 and there's no mistaking it, but people are shocked that I am as far along as I am, I guess I'm really small. I too am thin.

Every woman is different. Depends on your build, weight, and how you carry (low or high....wide or narrow).
