I just turned 18 and I got jury duty already. Anyways I have some "special" jury duty or something for 2-3 weeks that they won't let me off for even though I have college coming up soon. What can I expect?

FIRST, send a copy of your notice of jury duty to your college. They MUST excuse you from class. Second, you will be asked when questioned by the attorneys, if there is any reason you "can't" or "shouldn't" serve. Just tell them the truth. It may not get you off the jury, BUT IT MIGHT. I strongly suggest that you pack a bag with 3-days worth of clothes, a toothbruth and toothpaste, and deodorant to take with you. Sounds to me like they intend to sequester you.

To learn a lot. Especially if you are chosen to sit on a jury, you will have an interesting time; learn a lot; & come away from the experience with a feeling of satisfaction.

You can expect to have to drop out from collage this semester.

You can try to tell them you are not mature enough to be able to be fair and that collage stress will not help. Just be honest.
