This is the take off year with the Titans 3 year as the youngest team in the NFL the right qb starting, and the team chemistry that has developed over the last 8 games, along with the fact we have plenty of momentum with the way we finished last year heading into this year, and our confidence is high since we finished way better when the first two months everyone said ok looking for another draft pick to missing the playoffs by the last game we didn't win. Vince Young is going to take it to the next level and the Titans winning 11 or 12 games is realistic and the biased delusional Colts fans and other doubters are going to learn the hard way that they underestimated the Titans and they are for real.
My guess is 10-12 realistically. Yes we lost veterans but we have replaced them and made great draft picks.

Colts CB Nick Harper Playoff experience and SB winner
Bears WR Justin Gage Playoff experience and SB runnerup
Falcons S Bryan Scot
Cowboys LB Ryan Fowler Playoff experience

Topday on ESPN it was announced that Vince Young dropped off letters in all of the Titans talking about oportumism heading in to the 2007 season and is the leader. We have plenty of momentum by finishing one game short of the playoffs when everyone thought after the first 2 months of the season we were done and one of the worst teams in the NFL. This team finally as the experience of a winning team, the chemistry continues to develop, and Vince Young will continue to excell has he now will challenge himself to take the team on his shoulders again by bringing them to the playoffs, do better than his rookie season, prove more doubters wrong. He aspires to win, hates losing more than anything much like that QB in Any Given Sunday, a major competitor, just doesn't quit, and inspires every single on this team to be way better.

They have plenty of experience veterans on their team to help the rookies. VY does not believe in curses so don't expect the Madden to get in his head, also another season of Merril Hodge making hated biased predictions only for Vince Young to continue to prove him wrong and make him look anything but a credible accurate NFL analyst. Also most important if you win out and have a winning record that is bound to carry into next season. The Oilers finished way better in their last season and the momentum carried over into our first season as the Titans. Also people want to keep counting out the Titans just like last year and 1999 except those people to look bad as the Titans win and the people have to learn the hard way that the Titans are a winning team.

Maybe they lost guys but they still have plenty of guys to replace them. They have 7 experienced Wrs,5 Rookie wrs, 5 experienced tes, 1 rookie te,4 experienced rbs, 1 rookie rb,7 experienced cbs,1 rookie cb and rookie db. You do the math it's plenty to help Vince Young and the Titans win lots of games.

FYI Vince Young 8-5 as a starter, won Rookie of the Week multiple times, NFL Rookie of the year, revived the TItans and took them within one game of the Playoffs, most importantly he just wants to win hates losing is one of the most talented qbs competitve as it comes, and most importantly the only stat that matters is the win. That is what Vince Young does and he is going to take them to the next level. VY gave the Colts almost to much the first matchup and had enough to beat them in the rematch. The Colts will be lucky to win one of the matchups and the Jags couldn't even beat the Titans when they outgained them offensively in the rematch in Tennessee. Vince Young is taking the Titans to the next level as a winning team this season.

I can appreciate your optimism as a Titan fan but reality is a different thing. Here's why:

-While Young is a athletically talented QB he is still very inexperienced and irractic as a QB, last year he threw more INTs than TDs and the only thing that saved him at times were his legs. We've seen over and over again a predominately running QBs career in the NFL is a short one.

-The Titans have lost their 3 starting WRs from last year, their starting RB, their OL is weak, and a poor D from last year has only gotten worse. Young will have little help on O and that means long afternoons for the D.

-They play Indy twice, an improved Jax twice, they also have games at New Orleans, at Denver, and at Cincinnati, not to mention home games against San Diego, Carolina, and the Jets.

-Realistically I see Tennessee at 6-10 maybe 7-9 at best with some luck. The Titans are not a playoff caliber team.

Not really sure what station you are watching, but i haven't seen any place where the Titans have a shot at 8 wins this year. I'd be surprised if they even won 5. First of all, The Jags and Texans are improved. with manning the Colts will be a contender. Vince Young has some things to prove this year. remember he didn't start every game last year and his numbers were BY FAR impressive. Only thing that guy has going for him is his legs.
There are reasons why you got harper and gage. Harper was hurt and then played a few games, his replacement was better and gage wouldn't make a 3rd best reciever on any other team thean the Bears and the Titans.

I don't think you guys will do any better than last year. IMO, none of those players matter as much to your team as Travis Henry did. He's a good rusher and was the workhorse of your offense. Without him to take pressure off, Vince Young's struggles will become more apparent than they were last year. Believe you me, signing a bunch of veterans doesn't make a team. That was Buffalo's strategy until last year, and it got us NOWHERE. It's a pity we don't play again, I'd go so far as to call the Titans rivals. But....hey time tells all, eh? We sing similar songs, you and I....

Naw, I'm gonna have to learn this one the hard way. 8-8 if all goes right. When they get a couple proven targets for Vince they will take the next step.

You need an NFL caliber QB to get 12 wins, not a flashy college QB. (see Falcons/Vick)
