It looks a bit like pieces of snot--it can come out in chunks or all at once.
If it's bloody, it means labor is due within 48 hours.
If it's not bloody, it means that labor may occur within 3 weeks.
Also--a bloody show (losing a bloddy mucus plug) and have a bruised cervix express a little blood with discharge are two VERY different things.

I lost my mucus plug 2.5 weeks in the past, and because then, I actual have had the comparable form of white, sparkling and watery discharge you're describing. frequently, there is a few sparkling/egg white coloured mucus besides and that i tend to have it extra in the morning than in the latter area of the day.

Bloody mucous plug does not mean that labor is guaranteed by a certain time - I know this from experience. Bloody mucous can occur after a vaginal exam.
Anyways, mucous is nasty goopy gross. It can be slimy (like snot) or it can be thicker like dried up rubber cement (remember that stuff).

I just lost mine the other day and it was like chunky, stringy brown discharge. It can also be clear or be streaked with pink or red.
