I've heard about these other countries, like in Asia, where they teach the kids to fight in school.
Shouldn't we do that here? I mean, everyday the terrorists grow more balls, and it seems our government get less competant. How longs it gonna be before one of these terrorist groups plan a massive invasion with one of our "friends" in South America, or the Chinese who are arming up to take something over.
Shouldn't they know that we AMERICANS would not put up with any of that bull, and will fight out in the streets for our right to survive?
Can i get an "Amen"?

Anymore these days, the liberal education system not only discourages fighting (not necessarily a bad idea), but also discourages competition of any kind. The most Liberal school districts have abolished the standard grading scale up to fourth grade, assesing student "accomplishment" by assigning terms like "VG" (Very Good) or "U" (Unsatisfactory) so that children, when they do fail, are not wrapped up in the stigma of failure but can at least feel that they tried.

Many school districs have banned score-keeping in sports because administartors feel that the concept of "winners and losers" is to harsh to expose children to as it may hurt feelings. Also, I have heard of many cases where students have recieved harsher punishments for name-calling that do students who destroy school property.

This phenomena is not limited to public schools however. In the state of California, the legislation which covers "Justifiable use of Force" is changing by the week. By law, honest people cannot use force even to defend their own lives in many situations.

This ultimately will be the main contributing factor to the fall of our economy and society. The U.S. has enjoyed so much success up to this point because "The American Way" was based on the idea that to succeed, you MUST work hard to make yourself bigger, better, stronger, faster, and more educated than you're compedetors or YOU will loose out. In fact, look at the recent successes in China. They have realized that Communism / Socialism DOES NOT work. Only now are people beginning to grasp the above concept, and they are improving their lives and the status and state of their society and economy with amazing success.

It makes me cringe every time I hear a liberal say that taxes should be raised to put more money into failing social programs. - What they really mean to say is "Its not fair that some people are more successful than others so we need to level the playing field by taking money from them and redistributing it to people who have not worked as hard or who simply have done nothing to earn or even desreve to reap the fruits that others have toiled for."

The government gets less competent? That jumped out at me. When have they been more competent? If people got together on anything the politicians would listen. Say a website by citizens where we could vote what we want and pledge for candidates that follow our will. When people get the idea of their power that will be a scary day. As for the Chinese, they know they have us already. They soon will be able to buy the country for less than the price of a war.

Amen. Because the liberal cry babies can not stand any kind of competition. Why? I guess they are afraid to compete.

We should have as much academic competition as we do athletic competition. It gets the juices flowing. Don't you try harder when you are competing, especially against someone you really don't like?

Didn't the democrats ban dodgeball in school because it lowers self esteem?

Yes it would be a good thing if kids knew how to fight. It would raise their self esteem and would probably reduce the amount of bullies in schools.

Overall it might reduce the problems we are having with kids bringing guns to school. If they knew how to defend themselves they wouldn't need guns.

That's your parent's responsibility, not the government's. What happened to you cons and all that talk about "personal responsibility" and government not babysitting you? Or was just that more BS?

Is that why you're NOT in iraq fighting today?

Because it's violent. Schools don't promote violence...

Something like karate would be an after school activity.
