There is no need to prove anything here,,,,there is no soul,,,,just brain regulated functions, with awareness of our own existance,,,The concept of soul arises of very many questions of minkind, as to which is our pourpose in this existence......Nothing here to prove, scientifically, at least...
Fertilization does bot hace anything to do with soul.....just with reproduction......and there is no child by simply putting a fertile egg, and an spermatozoid in the same test tube,,,,there is no soul before nor after,,,,,and no child without a fertile uterus,,,,

You cannot prove that the soul exists, because there is no evidence for its existence. Nobody has ever obtained a piece of soul to study.
In my opinion, a soul is simply a metaphor created by humans to describe what makes humans different from, say, rocks.

You can't prove it exists or at least they haven't yet. It is silly to say that we have proved that all the aspects of the brain are physical or that there is no soul. I also have personal unexplainable experience that makes me know we don't understand everything about the human mind.

The concept of a soul came from the idea that there is a "ghostly presence in the machine of the body." This appears to be due to the fact that the nervous system is the only anatomical system that lacks proprioceptors. We can feel ourself breathing, we can feel our heart beating but we can't "feel" our brain working. Our thoughts have the feeling of something ghostly. But modern science has shown that every aspect of our thoughts, emotions, memory and any other conscious experience is indeed an aspect of our physical brain. There is no "soul."

Biology says nothing about the soul.
We'd first have to agree on a definition. That there my friend would take forever. Then try to test for it. good luck with that.
You'll have to ask in religion and spirituality.

You can't prove a soul exists. Not even James Brown's.

The modern concept of our "soul" could be the electric pulses going around our nerves. in fact we are basically electric pulses feeling a piece of meat and telling it what to do.

according to research.. there is a weight loss at the time of death. terminal patients were weighed just before death and after death. all variables (bedding, scales, etc) were the same. the only changing variable was the patient's status. all the patients lost a small amount of weight.
conclusion: your call.
