I am trying to reach the child I was years ago to show her compassion. Is that the same thing? Havenot succeeded yet though. Still don't like her or me.

Yes. She takes the same delight in puppies and kittens as when she was five. Still love stuffed animals. Little kids crack me up when we both come up with the same answer. I still anticipate Christmas. I believe in fairies. Life is too much fun to stereotype it with age. My inner child is my outer self a lot of the time. We are well in touch.

Yes i do and i know she's a real person inside me. Unfortunately she is real dangerous to me and i constantly have to try to stop her from taking over the 35 year old me. I can not let my inner child 'out' or talk to her much because she is so self-destructive!!
