Nothing has gone right today and my husband insists on fighting with me about everything....now I cancelled our dinner plans...it's just a terrible birthday. Have you ever had one similar?

WOW...thank you SO MUCH everyone...it is quite odd how much better I feel after reading all these posts...! I appreciate all the answers and stars. My husband is a sack of dog sh*t. Let me add too...I've not received a gift either...and it's 3:30 in the afternoon! I'm MORE than p*ssed.

I'm so sorry that youre birthday is turning out to be no fun!! this year, the ONLY snow storm we got was on my bday, so i was snowed in with no where to go and that was a bummer. I'm sure your son is wishing you a very happy bday, and I am too!! Tomorrow is another day, THANK GOODNESS!

Yes, about 3 years ago. Almost exactly the same.

My birthday was on Good Friday this year.
The home opener for the Cleveland Indians was that day too.
We went to the game and darn near froze to death.
It being Good Friday I was supposed to be fasting and abstaining from meat.
NO hot dog at the game,it was freezing, and the game was called because of snow.

Well, I never had bithday like this, but once when I was a child- instead of celebrating- my parents wanted to visit their friend and took me along. I spent half of my bithday in her living-room listening about her cat illness etc.
My parents actually asked me did I want them to go, but what was I supposed to say?
Maybe it wasn't just terrible, it was boring for sure.

The last two years I haven't really had a special birthday.
Last year I was sick on my birthday...and well yeah it sucked. This year was just plain boring, couldn't have a party and was stuck up north all day with my dad and brother working on my dad's car.

YEAH, this year everyone forgot my b day. even my mom forgot. the sad part though is my friends from other countries wished me a happy birthday before any family member living in my own town did. they didn't even call, but i got e-mails from friends in Greece, Pakistan, India, and California so that made it somewhat better :)

I was in hospital for my 19th birthday - it was the worst birthday I have ever had - but even then, my family were very supportive and tried to make sure my day was as good as possible.

oh yes.
I got into a verbal argument with my mom when they were throwing a b-day party for me and my sis.
I got so mad I didnt want to go so I missed out on the whole thing.
it sucked.
If you feel like the "world" is against you on your b-day go out and do something fun by yourself that way it wont be a total loss.

More than once, this year was one of them, I hate it when my birthday is on a weekend, I always end up fighting with my hubby!!

Happy Birthday from me to you.....and don't pay no mind, to all the haters, on here.....I hope things get better, and you get to enjoy it...My sixteenth Birthday was pretty bad for me, I was in the hospital, and not one person, even wished me salutations, for my Birthday....sigh....As I said I hope yours improves...
