The pond scenario you have described is a recipe for fish disaster. Ducks and turtles eat fish. Plain and simple. They also create alto of waste from defecation. I would recommend testing your water for ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. If these all come back fine, I would seriously consider getting rid of the ducks and turtles if you want to keep any decent fish alive.

How is the pond being aerated? Also, turtles can do a lot of damage, I would remove them for the sake of the fish.

This passed off to my acquaintances fish - all of them died particularly all of sudden. that's in all probability simply by fact your pond may be domicile to a pair micro organism or plant life that the fish have been eating. verify you have a working clear out in the pond and which you sparkling it out often. additionally, if cats come into your backyard the fish could actually scared to dying (this could happen) by means of the cats that come close to. For from now on techniques pass to a backyard centre like Peter Barrats, that have particularly sturdy team. wish this helps! xLucy ~ PetExpertx
