Im trying to get a good gaming laptop for less than 800$. For games like battlefield and halo 2 etc.

you can upgrade ram in a laptop, and hard drive. get 1-2gb of ram, at least a 160gb hard drive. Dont get dell. get hp.

u will not find a laptop that can be used for gaming for $800 or less. a god gaming laptop would have an intel core 2 duo, 2gb of memory, a dedicated graphics card, like nvidia 8600. get a desktop to game. u can put a 8800 in it. a laptop good for gaming starts @ around $1500. if u get a cheap laptop to play games u will be sorry.

The thing about laptops is they are not upgradable.
Your $800 PC will be obsolete for games in about 2yrs or less.

laptops are not a good idea for gaming.
but if you still want to play games on your laptop. dual 2 core w/ 2GB memory.
