(1) D. 129/11 = 11 8/11, which rounds up to 12.

(2) I'd factor first and cancel before multiplying:

(y^2 - m^2) / ( y + m) * (y) / (y^2 - ym )
(y + m)(y - m) / (y + m) * (y) / y (y - m)
(y - m) * 1/(y - m)
1

But you could multiply first, combining the two fractions' numerators, and then factor and implify:

(y^2 - m^2) / ( y + m) * (y) / (y^2 - ym )
[ (y^2 - m^2) * (y) ] / [ ( y + m) * (y^2 - ym )]
[ (y + m)(y - m)(y) ] / [ (y + m)(y)(y - m)]

answerto 1st que is d
(y^2 - m^2) / ( y + m) * (y) / (y^2 - ym)
=[(y-m )(y+m)/( y+m)]*y/y(y-m)
=[(y-m )]*1/(y-m)
