I am trying to install my dryer in a different room and there is no special outlet for it.

You need to have an electrician install a new 220V outlet in the other room. That will be about the cheapest way to do it. The other ways you mentioned are unsafe and can be dangerous too. Good luck.

You need a 220 v outlet installed by an electrician. Your converter cant supply the current needed to run the dryer.

Not really. Have an electrician install a 240 volt dryer receptacle where you need it. Don't use an extension cord either. They burn houses down.

If the rest of you have 220 volts in your house you might want to call your power company and report the low voltage. Measure it at the buss in your distribution panel. Residential power is 240/120.

you will need a 30 amp 240 ,4-wire circuit to comply to the National Electrical Code.
there are no converters.
you may want to think about how to vent the dryer also.

No. You need the full 220 to power the dryer.

dont play, 220 (208) will kill; you! call an electrician, he will move the wire.
